Lately, BRAND X have been on a roll. With no studio albums released since their 2016 reformation, the band are ready to issue a second concert document in two years. A follow-up to “But Wait… There’s More!” (not available for review) but significantly different and shorter, “Locked & Loaded” which will be out on May 4th, was recorded on June 11th, 2017 at Longs Park Amphitheater, PA and features veterans John Goodsall and Percy Jones give a new spin to their classics in the company of keyboard player Chris Clark, percussionist Scott Weinberger and new drummer Kenny Grohowski. Knowing the ensemble’s improvisatory approach, it’s safe to say this is going to be a blast.
