While the reissue of this project’s live version remains in contractual limbo, 1974’s “The Butterfly Ball And The Grasshopper’s Feast” – credited to Roger Glover And Friends but written in significant part by Eddie Hardin – will emerge anew as a box set on resurrected Purple Record in April. Remastered and expanded, the fine collection of kids-oriented pieces is comprised of three discs now, with the original album on the first one – that, like previous CD editions, has the “Little Chalk Blue” single among its tracks, alternative versions and a dedicated radio special on the second, and a replica of the “Love Is All” EP on the third.
It’s going to be a collector’s item, given not only booklet and individual wallets for each CD, but also poster, although there’s nothing previously unheard here. If only the concert recording made the cut…
