These two words might be familiar to many as the title of a computer game but Stéphane Honde, formerly a guitarist with French rockers CAFÉ BERTRAND and now a Californian, has decided to give it a new spin, and now HOLLYWOOD MONSTERS are a band, or rather a project whose debut album, “Big Trouble,” will see the light of day on May 23rd. As befits the cover heavyweights, there are many hard rock guests on the record, ranging from Paul DiAnno of IRON MAIDEN fame to DEEP PURPLE’s own Ian Paice and Don Airey, with Tim Bogert of VANILLA FUDGE and Vinny Appice of BLACK SABBATH/DIO along for the ride.
Of course, lately such projects come in numbers, yet for lovers of classic hard rock they’re interesting no matter what. And that’s what’s on there.
