Nĭhăo Hamtaï
To many of us, China is almost as alien as Kobaïa, a planet willed out into existence by Christian Vader, a MAGMA mastermind. To the French band, though, their May 2015 visit behind The Great Wall must have felt like a friendly visit. That’s the gist of the “Nĭhăo Hamtaï” DVD, out now, whose very title means “Hello” in Chinese and Kobaïan: a documentary that combines footage from the trip with a concert one.
Given that the group’s current tour may be their last one, this endeavor, preserved for posterity, makes a priceless document.
