Behind all the hoopla for their forthcoming “Forever” project with previously unreleased songs of yet-to-be-revealed nature – mind, a good portion of “Made In Heaven” had seen a light of day before – QUEEN were working on another project: the “Live At The Rainbow ’74” tapes. Scheduled for release on September 8th, the album will be out, as is customary now, in different formats, including a single CD of questionable value as it’s to contain the band’s November show from the “Sheer Heart Attack” tour, while there’s a 2CD version where also is a March concert recorded during the “Queen II” trek, a vinyl album, DVD and Blu-Ray as well as download and a special edition with some tasty paraphernalia. The visual formats will feature only the November performance in full, though, with four March cuts added as bonus, which is a pity as the former was released, albeit partly, while the latter wasn’t.
