Robert Plant finds a perfect balance

“Lullaby And… The Ceaseless Roar” is the title of the forthcoming album by Robert Plant. Out on September 9th, the record lays bare all the reasons why the singer stands against a new collaboration with Jimmy Page, who didn’t do much new music after THE FIRM, and John Paul Jones as LED ZEPPELIN. Fronting his own band now, SENSATIONAL SPACE SHIFTERS, Plant has been making much more interesting music since the beginning of this millennium and even bagged a Grammy for the “Raising Sand” album which he cut with Alison Krauss. Judging by the snippets from the veteran’s new one, including those that Percy unveiled during his storming Glastonbury performance last Saturday, the hush and thunder – note the lettering on the cover – will be glorious.

Folk-minded, the album features ten band’s originals as well as traditional “Little Maggie” that opens the record which runs like this:
