To what extent blues feeds into Yuletide is a rhetorical question, as there’s always sadness in the heart of the Christmas jubilation. Robin Trower and Paul Jones, stalwarts of British blues scene, may not have hellhounds on their trail, but when it comes to running for mirth former PROCOL HARUM guitarist and ex-MANFRED MANN singer ain’t no strangers to a musical frolic, and now the veterans teamed up to record a pining version of “Santa Claus Is Back In Town.”
