Given their immense popularity, it’s rather surprising that SLADE‘s on-stage discography is quite scarce, which was why the “All The World Is A Stage” box set, released in 2022, was more than welcome – only the ensemble’s die-hard aficionados had mixed feelings about having to purchase a few discs they already owned. Those who didn’t buy it then, though, will have the opportunity to get the long-coveted and much bootlegged recording of the quartet’s performance from London’s “New Victoria Theatre” – the second of their two gigs there played in 1975 when the band promoted the “In Flame” soundtrack.
Although that night was recorded and broadcast by the Beeb, it didn’t make onto "Live At The BBC" but is to be out – on CD and vinyl, as “Live At The New Victoria” – on February 23rd. One look at the tracklist makes this offering indispensable.
