MAGELLAN weren’t an easy band to love sometimes, with their sophisticated – and quite heavy – take on art-rock within a neo-progressive idiom, yet the group elicited utter respect from fans and colleagues alike. Many famous players took part in the ensemble’s albums and many an aficionado bought records such as "Innocent God" – all this owing for the most part to the personality and talent of Trent Gardner.
Sadly, he passed away suddenly on June 11th, aged only 55, and Trent’s family needs help for a proper burial, so there’s a Memorial Fund set up. Gardner was a great artist so, please, contribute.
