Teddy Thompson Puts Out First Live Album

It’s almost impossible to believe that, in a career that lasts a quarter-century now, having started with his eponymous album back in 2000, Teddy Thompson didn’t issue a single concert platter – until he did. A few weeks ago, the English singer-songwriter released, via Bandcamp an arresting set titled “Live At The Rogue Folk Club” which was laid down in June 2024 at the titular Vancouver venue and features, among other numbers, quite a few pieces off his latest solo offering "My Love Of Country" from 2023.

There’s also a cover of Teddy’s father Richard’s “Persuasion” and “Psycho” that Thompson recorded for a soundtrack of the same title back in 1998, so even those who are very familiar with his work should be delighted to hear it all.
