Given how busy they are, hardly anybody expected new album from STICK MEN – even though it’s about time Markus Reuter, Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto followed up 2016’s "Prog Noir" with a full-length release. And they will, this fall, but what’s scheduled for August 8th is an EP that pick up where "Tentacles" left off back in 2022.
Brutal
Titled “Brutal” and also featuring five fresh tracks, it’s to be made available on CD only on the trio’s Bandcamp page and merchandise table at their concerts. There’s also a chance for a hundred willing spirits to purchase a personalised version of the titular number on an autographed disc – which requires of the buyer to say “Brutal” twice and issue two grunts and then send their recording to the artist to mix with the cut’s music.
As of the concerts, Tony’s health prevents him from performing with Pat and Markus for now, so the legendary Reeves Gabrels steps in temporarily. Hopefully, when the aforementioned album is out, T-Lev is back in.
