Alice Cooper’s HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES Welcome Paul McCartney

HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES - Hollywood Vampires

HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES – Hollywood Vampires

They called their company HOLLYWOOD VAMPIRES, a bunch of rock rogues that hogged Los Angeles clubs around 1973-1974, their ranks including such drink-loving luminaries as John Lennon, loose on his Lost Weekend there, Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon, Ringo Starr and Alice Cooper. Most of them in the better world now, it became only suitable for the latter to pay tribute to his fallen compadres and other music casualties, although it was Johnny Depp who suggested the dead-loving Alice resurrect the old name. What resulted is a covers – plus three new tracks – album, to be out on September 11, wherein some notable guests take part, among those Robby Krieger whose former colleague Jim Morrison was the subject of Cooper’s “Desperado” back in 1971, and Paul McCartney, who penned “Come And Get It” for the ill-fated BADFINGER.

Also on there are Sir Christopher Lee, in his last ever recorded performance, AC/DC’s Brian Johnson, EAGLES’ Joe Walsh and AEROSMITH’s Joe Perry, as well as the surviving members of the original ALICE COOPER group who appear on the coupling of their evergreen “School’s Out” with “Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2” that Alice has been performing for a few years now.
