Wikipedia may suggest that this Swedish ensemble haven’t existed for almost a decade, yet DIAMOND DOGS are very much active now, because their hiatus didn’t last long, and are eager to up the ante after the band’s 2022 opus “Slap Bang Blue Rendezvous” proved to be as successful as their early ’00s platters. That’s why February 14th will see the veterans join forces with no other than the legendary Chris Spedding and record eleven classics by one and only Little Richard.
And that’s not the case of inviting a luminary to cast a light on lesser known artists, because it was Spedding who called singer Sulo Karlsson and suggest a joint project. Given their shared love for cuts like “Bama Lama Bama Loo” and their desire to play like there’s no tomorrow, the results couldn’t be uninspired, so “Macon Georgia Giant” guarantees fun time for all the classic rock ‘n’ roll lovers.
