There have been quite a few solo concert releases during Jimi Jamison‘s lifetime – but none appeared since the American singer’s untimely passing eleven years ago, and it’s something that will be remedied on December 12th, when a CD titled “1998 Live Hits” is to see the light of day. Recorded over three nights – in Little Rock, Nashville and Bettendorf – and featuring several musicians who had worked with the warbler back in the ’70s in TARGET, this album consists mostly of SURVIVOR classics, yet a couple of rarities found their way into his setlist too.
One of those is the cover of “Riders On The Storm” by THE DOORS, although of more interest are the then-unreleased “Rock Hard” and “I’m Always Here” from the “Baywatch” TV series. A great addition to the late artist’s catalogue.
