Pat Travers Explores Time Traveling

Pat Travers is one of those artists from whom you don’t expect anything new – in stylistic terms, that is – yet on whom you can count on when it comes to keeping classic elements in place in order to land a blow and box the listener’s ears. From this point of view, the veteran’s fresh album, titled “The Art Of Time Travel” and scheduled for August 19th release, will undoubtedly deliver quite a few thrills – as proven by the record’s title track which has been a part of the Canadian guitarist’s concert set for a while now.

Apart from that, the platter promises to be very much emotionally charged, with “Ronnie” paying homage to Travers’ fallen colleague Montrose, “Natalie” following in the tracks of “Louise,” “Elaine” and “Amanda,” and “Breaking Up In Lockdown” addressing pandemic-related woes of a touring musician. All in all, it looks like Pat is getting back to the blues-rock idiom he tried to veer away from on 2019’s "Swing!" and is at the top of his game again. Read the review.
