Last year, when PINK FLOYD reissued “Wish You Were Here” to mark the seminal album’s 50th anniversary, quite a few people were upset about a concert recording that formed part of Blu-ray that came out both within a deluxe box set and outside of it, as a standalone item. But soon, this format exclusivity will be overridden, and the famous Mike Millard bootleg, sonically upgraded by Steven Wilson, will emerge on Record Store Day as a two-CD and four-LP packages.
Titled “Live From the Los Angeles Sports Arena, April 26th, 1975” and planned for release on April 18th, the stage document finds the British quartet play not only “The Dark Side Of The Moon” in its entirety, but also half of “WWYH” and a couple of fresh pieces which would eventually land on “Animals” two years later. From this point of view and given the source tapes quality that got enhanced, new set seems teasingly important.
