Tasmin Archer Is Back With A Witch’s Cauldron

Her 1992 debut “Great Expectations” lived up to its promise, with the “Sleeping Satellite” single topping the charts, yet Tasmin Archer didn’t quite follow up on that promise, and even though “Bloom” and “On” – her next albums, delivered a decade apart, in 1996 and 2006 – were strong works, further commercial success eluded the English songstress. She didn’t leave music and wrote, together with the faithful John Hughes, pieces for shows like “EastEnders” – but Archer’s fans long stopped waiting for new records from her, so the forthcoming arrival of Tasmin’s fresh platter is both unexpected and welcome.

Titled “A Cauldron Of Random Notes” and scheduled to hit the shelves on September 12th, it consists of eleven originals which highlight the esteemed artiste’s maturity – with the wide-eyed innocence of yore still lurking in these cuts, if opener “Vibration Of Life” (watch the video below) is anything to go by.
