The entire pandemic and post-pandemic period without an album could make anyone doubt whether PROFESSOR AND THE MADMAN stopped their run. The band featuring THE DAMNED power station of bassist Paul Gray and drummer Rat Scabies, who joined D.I. guitarists Sean Elliott and Alfie Agnew, the project’s instigators, haven’t issued anything since 2020’s "Séance" which followed the ensemble’s first two platters, all released with a two-year gap between them. However, August 7th will see the foursome return with a new offering – recorded in 2024, with the entire quartet being, for the first time ever, in the same studio.
Dreamworld
Titled “Dreamworld” and referencing THE BEATLES’ “Revolver” on its cover, this album once again marries punk elements to pop-rock front, and judging by the first single “12 Strings And Tambourines” (listen to it below), it promises to be good.
