The uninitiated may find it strange, but punk and reggae have a long common history – it’s been this way ever since THE CLASH took on Junior Murvin’s “Police And Thieves” and Bob Marley’s “Punky Reggae Party” praised the cultures’ sweet collision. Still, it could surprise even those in the know that English proponents of hardcore, ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE, decided to dedicate an entire album to covering classic tunes so dear to many a skinhead heart. Out on June 2nd, “League Style” delves deep in the Trojan domain and seems to emerge triumphant.
