Once upon a time, Arthur Brown contributed two songs to the soundtrack of Roger Vadim’s film “The Game Is Over” – and, exactly sixty years after that, the indomitable artist’s own career is almost played out. At least that’s what the veteran says with regard to “Nature”: the album, scheduled to be released on September 4th, which finds him pondering over the meaning of life.
Brown describes the record – that will be available on both vinyl and CD, in a single-disc edition or expanded ones, including art-book, with a two-song second disc – as a “pinnacle” of his journey, with the cosmic unity of existence being this opus’s central idea. There are proper song and improvs, as concocted by Arthur in collaboration with Dan Smith. The God of Hellfire never disappointed his listeners, so his last offering must be good.
