Having witnessed Billy Idol‘s performance in an intimate environment of art gallery a few months ago, this scribe can testify not only to the undiminished strength of the veteran’s approach to delivery but also to the delight he derives from it. Both aspects of Idol’s musical identity are on display on Billy’s forthcoming album “Dream Into It” – a long-overdue follow-up to 2014’s “Kings & Queens Of The Underground” – that will see the light of day on April 25th.
Sculpted, as usual, with all-important creative input from guitarist Steve Stevens, this record features no less than three duets, something the singer rarely engages in: with Avril Lavigne, Joan Jett and Alison Mosshart. Feels like fun.
1. Dream Into It
2. 77 (feat. Avril Lavigne)
3. Too Much Fun
4. John Wayne (feat. Alison Mosshart)
5. Wildside (feat. Joan Jett)
6. People I Love
7. Gimme The Weight
8. I’m Your Hero
9. Still Dancing
