Not that Bryan Ferry was averse to projects in which he would share the spotlight with other musicians yet, apart from an occasional piece where the singer duetted with such chanteuses as Carla Bruni or Twiggy or lent his voice to recordings like Todd Terje’s, there’s been nothing available of a full-length scope. But there will be: March 28th is the date when “Loose Talk” – the veteran’s collaboration with Glaswegian artist Amelia Barratt – is to be out.
Ferry’s first release with the Scottish painter, writer and warbler was “Star” which was issued last summer as part of his “Retrospective” comp – but the number, based on Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ cut and presenting Bryan’s first new music in a decade, isn’t a part of this new album that should be different from what either of the performers did previously. The formats the record’s to be out in, are CD and vinyl, although a mention of an Atmos mix suggests a Blu-ray as well.
