A great conceptualist, Clive Nolan may occasionally work with literary sources, yet it’s the story of his own character, Professor Samuel King, the British composer keeps returning to. Having introduced the intrepid explorer on "Alchemy" in 2013 and extending the saga with “King’s Ransom” four years later, as well as bringing both installments to stage, Nolan is launching what can possibly become the series’ final chapter now
Scheduled for February 15th but already accessible via Clive’s mobile app, the album titled “The Mortal Light” sees the return of a few familiar faces, such as Andy Sears and Gemma Ashley, and as usual is spread over two discs, each comprising a separate act. There will be a limited-edition box set issued, too, on four CDs, the additional ones highlighting, in turn, vocal and instrumental performances, with no less than three booklets fleshing out the context.
