Playing remotely on other artists’ records became a steady source of income for many a classic rock veteran, and those other artists make a unique selling point out of such guest spots – not Paul White and Mark Soden, though. The British duo known as CYDONIA COLLECTIVE have worked with Gordon Giltrap whose guitar magic fits so finely in their ambient soundscapes, and recently the Worcestershire masters decided to finally gather all the joint efforts on a single release.
The 17-track compilation which emerged out of the Mirror Noir Studios from 2015 to here and now is titled “The Giltrap Sessions” is out now to reveal a few rarely seen pages of GG’s musical book and attract a few new fans to CC’s cause.
