Recent period saw David Cross of KING CRIMSON fame closely working with kindred spirits of various striped, his talent and ability to read other people’s minds shining on "Cold Sky Blue" that pairs the veteran with Sean Quinn, on "Another Day" where Cross collaborates with his namesake Jackson from VDGG, on "Bartok in Rock" that finds him help DIALETO explore classical avant-garde (and there’s their live record to be reviewed here soon), on "Midori" by STICK MEN, on “Crossing The Tracks” which places Cross’ strings into different environments (to be reviewed ASAP as well)… And yet, there’s a new one, to be issued on October 26th: “Ends Meeting” – the result of 2006’s sessions between David Cross and Andrew Booker.
Least famous than his partner, Booker’s grooves enhanced recordings by NO-MAN, SANGUINE HUM – last heard on their "Now We Have Light" – and Peter Banks’ HARMONY IN DIVERSITY. As for the forthcoming release’s background, that’s what David has to say:
“I met Andrew some years ago when the DAVID CROSS BAND were touring with HARMONY IN DIVERSITY. Andrew was the drummer with that band and we got together after the tour to record some tracks. This eventually turned into the album we’ll be releasing in the autumn. Andrew brought a great deal of creativity and high level production skills to the project and is one of those people who make it easy to play – a great talent!”
