It’s taken a long time but looks like it was worth the wait: on September 19th, a new box set by George Harrison will hit the shelves. “The Apple Years 1968-1975” is a successor to 2004’s “The Dark Horse Years 1976-1992” – or, more precisely, its similarly designed prequel that’s comprised of the artist’s first albums, the earliest ones recorded while he still was a Beatle and some long due for remastering which was undertaken with Dhani Harrison’s supervision.
As before, there’s no riches of previously unreleased material, yet the box is to be fleshed out with a hardcover book and a DVD.
While the visual part’s content is still unknown – hopefully, it’ll include live footage from 1974, George’s only tour before 1991 – the aural section is reported to be looking like this:
