HEART’s Ann Wilson And TRIPSITTER Put Out A Concert Record

One year ago the reunion of HEART seemed rather unlikely, with Nancy and Ann Wilson working independently even after the sisters had announced the end of their sabbatical back in 2019, until December 2023 saw the two grace the stage together, with “Royal Flush World Tour” scheduled for this summer. However, before that Ann released her fourth solo album, the singer’s first platter completely comprised of original material; titled “Another Door” and featuring her own collective, TRIPSITTER, it would be brought to the stage and even became the subject of PBS special, available for streaming – and making its way to a mass product now.

First issued as a limited edition vinyl longplay for Record Store Day, “Live In Concert” will see a CD outing on August 2nd, presenting the ensemble’s entire show which included not only half the songs off “Another Door” but also a healthy selection of HEART classics – such as “Magic Man” and, of course, “Barracuda” – as well as choice covers, among them perennials by John Lennon, David Bowie and LED ZEPPELIN. Given it’s Ann’s inaugural concert offering as an artist in her own right, the results are alluring.
