Jah Wobble Returns To Post-Punk

The venerated master of deep resonance, Jah Wobble has been experimenting with sounds for years, yet he rarely looked back at, let alone deploy, his post-punk origins, and even the veteran’s return to the past with "Metal Box - Rebuilt In Dub" didn’t fully reflect his roots. However, after working on a weekly basis in a music community project in Merton, with his old collaborator, former SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES guitarist Jon Klein, and coming up with lyrics while on transport – as Jah did on "The Bus Routes Of South London" – Wobble composed an entire past-soaked record, with Klein being very instrumental on it.

Out on January 30th, it’s titled “Automated Paradise” and features eight vibrant pieces… even though the album’s cover doesn’t quite reflect the music inside. Intriguing.
