Kip Winger is no stranger to classical music – he studied composition before shooting to fame as a writer, performer and leader of WINGER and continued to do so after attaining a star status. This artist’s symphonic debut was 2008’s “Ghost” – a suite, which would become a ballet – that “Conversations With Nijinsky” followed up on in 2016. Ten years forward, and there’s another orchestral work is ready for release on April 10th.
Titled “Symphony Of The Returning Light” and consisting of two pieces, violin concerto where Peter Otto plays, and “Symphony Of The Returning Light” per se that uses Morse code for its rhythms and focuses on the subject of atonement. An alluring crossover.
Violin Concerto “In The Language Of Flowers” (2024-25):
1. I. Forsythia
2. II. Viscaria
3. III. Ambrosia
4. IV. Wisteria
Symphony Of The Returning Light (2018-20):
5. I. S.O.S.
6. II. Eleos
7. III. Metamorphosis 8 IV. Metanoia
