The recent reunion of German heavy prog legends LUCIFER’S FRIEND – possibly their last ever – might not cause a sensation it deserved, but there was a stir among the fans and connoisseurs alike. With John Lawton at the front, the band recorded four new songs for the "Awakening" compilation and delivered a storming set at one of the premiere European festivals on June 5th, 2015. It’s thence that “Live @ Sweden Rock 2015” comes forth for the January 8th, 2016 release, mixing the group’s time-tested classics with fresh cuts – three out of four of them.
A nice document to have, given there’s never been an official concert album from the ensemble – not counting recent Rockpalast package with Mike Starrs on vocals. New release’s tracks run like this (read the review):
