Having been part of Peter Banks’s EMPIRE, multi-instrumentalist Mark Murdock has been coming back to that realm a few times, most notably with his project named THE NEW EMPIRE whose "Second Lifetime" album carried on the spirit of the late guitarist. Credited to MARK MURDOCK’S EMPIRE, a new EP – available via Bandcamp now – is titled “Marble God With Cracked Hands” and comprised of five pieces with an apparent conceptual angle to enhance the record’s melodic flow. Mark, who plays everything apart from guitar here, calls it his reflective chapter and describes as “empire rebuilt from within — colder, more introspective, and more unstable” – meaning it’s a most interesting offering.
