Mick Abrahams Opts For Resurrection

It seems to take a genuine connoisseur to really appreciate Mick Abrahams whose kind of blues stretches far beyond his famous stints with JETHRO TULL and BLODWYN PIG. Each time the guitarists has an album out, he proposes a tasteful exploration of the blues with jazz injection but not show-off flash whatsoever. Which makes “Revived!”, the veteran’s project to be out on April 7th on CD and DVD, a one-off endeavor because it sees the veteran host a coterie of fellow travelers including his TULL replacement Martin Barre, Bernie Marsden of WHITESNAKE fame, Geoff Whitehorn of PROCOL HARUM and Elliott Randall on guitar; ex-STONES Bill Wyman and former ARGENT member Jim Rodford; Paul Jones on vocals and Mark Feltham on harmonica; as well as other players.

As for the songs, they are perennial favorites and new pieces such as “Remember Abrahams” that feels like a testament (read the review):
