Somewhat least celebrated of all MOTT THE HOOPLE musicians, organist Verden Allen used to create an integral part of their sound and remains, together with Ian Hunter, the last still active member of the legendary British ensemble’s classic line-up. However, the last most cognoscenti heard of the veteran was in 2013, when he not only took part in the band’s second reunion but also released the solid "Love You & Leave You" album with his SOFT GROUND collective. Verden didn’t participate in MOTT’s 2018 get-together, so many assumed he retired, yet July 8th will see the issue of “No One Knows” – Allen’s latest offering.
