A little more than a year ago, when Paul Carrack released his first country album, the record’s very title – "The Country Side Of Paul Carrack: Volume 1" – suggested he won’t stop there, and it was only a matter of time before another collection of pieces the English singer had cut in Tennessee was out. And now “The Country Side Of Paul Carrack: Volume 2” is ready to hit the shelves.
With the street date set for August 7th, another ten numbers which include classics made famous by the likes of Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson – although, of course, “Always On My Mind” is a bit commonplace for such master as Paul to try and update – should add to the depth of Carrack’s canon. Whether his Nashville well has dried out remains to be seen, but no one will be surprised if 2027 will see “Volume 3” waiting in the wings.
