Bob Marley’s Hammersmith Shows From 1976 Up For Release

There’s been several concert recordings from Bob Marley and THE WAILERS issued over the years, starting from the now-classic “Live!” and “Babylon By Bus” that saw the light of day while the great Jamaican was still with us, and each of those is memorable. The best of them arguably was “Live At The Roxy” from 2023, that captured the Caribbean ensemble during their “Rastaman Vibration” tour in 1976, which probably why fans were interested in hearing more – and their hopes should come true soon, when “Roots, Rock, Reggae: Live at the Hammersmith Odeon” will hit the shelves.

Out on August 14th in two-CD and double-vinyl variants, it documents the group’s London show – taped a month before the aforementioned Los Angeles performance got preserved for posterity. Similar to the Roxy one in terms of setlist, the forthcoming album has more pieces on it, some forming a half-hour encore. Something to skank easy to.
