There have been quite a few homages paid to RAMMSTEIN over the years, only those albums are of marginal interest since it usually were followers of the German industrial giants who recorded their songs without ever tasting commercial success they achieved. Still, given 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the Berliners’ beginnings, it was logical to arrange a special tribute to Till Lindemann and his colleagues – and there will be one, out on August 25th.
Titled simply “A Tribute To Rammstein” and featuring, on CD, the devil’s dozen cuts, this offering is remarkable for featuring not only the artists who emerged in the wake of the Deutsch ensemble’s battleship, such as MANNTRA or PRIEST, but also the musicians who influenced the group, including LAIBACH and KILLING JOKE’s Paul Ferguson, plus a couple of unexpected, yet Gothic-loving, participants: THE 69 EYES and Jah Wobble. To say it looks interesting would be a major underestimation, then.
