Robin Trower Plays Hide-And-Seek On New Record

It’s been a decade and a half since Robin Trower released the “The Playful Heart” where a piece titled “Find Me” had the pride of place, and now the legendary guitarist seems to be carrying on playing the same game on his forthcoming album. Titled “Come And Find Me” and scheduled for release on April 25th, its artwork is following the graphic theme of Trower’s previous platters, starting with the aforementioned one, and its first single “A Little Bit Of Freedom” (watch the lyric video below) will undoubtedly remind Robin’s fans of “Little Bit Of Sympathy” which firmly established the English musician as a solo performer fifty years ago.

Accompanied by his usual drummer Chris Taggart and, on two numbers, by bassist Glenn Letsch, who recorded with him in the past, the veteran engaged Richard Watts – who sang for him, on and off, for a quarter-century now – to handle most of the vocals, so there’s a solid tradition on display. Quite a way to celebrate Robin Trower’s 80th birthday.
