Given the fact that it was originally intended for radio broadcast, with vinyl copies sent out to various stations across the States, there’s no surprise in the recording of TALKING HEADS December 18th, 1978 show at “The Agora” in Cleveland having been in circulation as a bootleg for more than four decades now. What’s surprising is that this document is to finally see an official release.
Hitting the shelves on April 12th as part of Record Store Day, “Live On Tour” should initially be issued as a cash-grabbing set with 45 RPM as a justification of it being a double-LP, yet since it was remastered from the analog tapes and augmented with the previously unreleased “Thank You For Sending Me An Angel” – although with usual disregard for a proper running order of that night – one can assume a CD variant will follow.
