“From The Vault” is a title of a new archive series from THE ROLLING STONES who have two new titles out in November, on the 3rd and 17th of the month, in a variety of formats, including Blu-ray, DVD, DVD/2CD and DVD plus 3LP. The first, “Hampton Coliseum – Live In 1981,” finds the band at the top of their stadium pomp and athletic bluster, while the second one, “LA Forum – Live In 1975,” is of much more interest to a fan and a regular music lover alike as it documents the tour when the group had only introduced Ronnie Wood in the line-up and, curiously didn’t perform “Satisfaction.” Both shows are lengthy and riveting, though; hopefully, there’ll be more tapes from the ’70s further down the line.
Of course, the differences between the setlists are radical, and all the better for it.
