Tony Hadley Turns Up His Dreamy Elegance

Maybe it’s the suits that dictate certain artists’ penchant for overall suaveness, yet Tony Hadley embraced such elegance back in his SPANDAU BALLET days and, aging in style, the singer quite organically progressed to delivering old-time standards in a modern way. His 2024 album “The Mood I’m In” was a brilliant example of this, but “If I Can Dream” which will be issued on November 21st should add an interesting spin to the veteran’s formula.

Named after the platter’s anthemic finale, an Elvis perennial, Hadley’s forthcoming record features refreshed versions of five pieces from his 2007 offering “Passing Strangers” alongside Tony’s take on the evergreen “Fly Me To The Moon” and his duet with namesake Christie on “Avenues And Alleyways” as well as a new cut, “Mission Impossible”: some of these have been in the warbler’s repertoire for some time, so many fans already know how classy all of it is.
