It was on July 6th, 1957 that Paul McCartney met John Lennon, and it was 57 years and a day later, on July 7th, 2014, that he unveiled a video for “Early Days” from his latest album, “New,” where the ex-Beatle reminiscences on the past, although the mini-movie setting is American South, the idea thought up and proposed to the veteran by director Vincent Haycock. Premiered on the “Rolling Stone” site, it’s very stylish and featuring Johnny Depp alongside McCartney who actually jammed with the old bluesmen.
