Over the last decade the name of international pop-rock hitmaker Chris Braide has become firmly associated with that of ASIA’s Geoff Downes as the two concocted, as DBA, a string of prog-tinged confections which, apparently captured the attention of Andy Partridge, the principal songwriter of XTC’s whose "The Big Express" rolled towards a similar cityscape. Which is why Andy – a prominent presence on the duo’s "Skyscraper Souls" – approached Chris with a proposition of creating something together. And the two masters did it.

Queen Of The Planet Wow!
Their first – yet, hopefully, not last – effort is a six-piece EP titled “Queen Of The Planet Wow!” and is set for release – on vinyl, but, again hopefully, a CD version will get issued too – on February 23rd. There’s no details on who else was involved in the mini-album’s recording, except for the fact that the drums are handled here by DIVINE COMEDY’s own Tim Weller. Fascinating!
