Last week Manfred Mann presented a video from his last album, 2014’s "Lone Ranger" – a solo effort hanging on the veteran’s interpretations of the pieces which he loves or which used his own arrangements in the context of other artists’ oeuvre – featuring Caitlyn Scarlett on a version of Kanye West’s “So Appalled” that sampled MMEB’s “You Are – I Am.” But now the keyboardist requested a few tweaks to be done in the clip.
Turns out, Manfred doesn’t want to look so grim on-screen and wishes to include merrier shots that better reflect his personality – and, as DME can testify, Mann’s not miserable at all in a face-to-face situation. New clip is to be uploaded to YouTube soon, yet here’s the first draft.
By the way, an interview with Manfred Mann may be forthcoming this year.
