Covering Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” should have gone out of fashion soon after Miles Davis interpreted it, yet that doesn’t mean there can be no more interesting take on this perennial. Yet, surely, Mark Lettieri‘s reading of the song cannot be too straightforward, especially when it sits in the middle of the SNARKY PUPPY and THE FEARLESS FLYERS guitarist’s new platter.
Titled “Can I Tell You Something?” and scheduled for release on July 19, the artist’s forthcoming album follows in the wake of his Grammy-nominated instrumental record “Deep: The Baritone Sessions Vol. 2” and promised to present a stunning rock-symphony wall of sound to set a new standard of voiceless performances.
