After their 2009’s triumphal reunion, few could have predicted the mighty MOTT THE HOOPLE would be back together four years down the line. But despite drummer Dale Griffin ailment which prevents him from playing, this November will see the veterans grace the stage one more time – or, to be precise, five times. And they won’t come alone.
On November 17th, in Manchester, the opening act will be THE CONTRAST, a fave band of MOTT bassist Overend Watts. Now the group have signed with Angel Air, and their seventh album, “A Sinister Flick”, is to be out on the label in October. Before that, on both cases, the STRAY leader, Del Bromham, will make his entrance. The guitarist opens for THE HOOPLE in Bimingham, on November 11th, and his new solo album, “Nine Yards”, a follow-up to 2004’s "Devil’s Highway", will be released on Angel Air in September.
More surprises to come, that’s for sure.
