NEKTAR Pack Their Ocean Dive Into Box Set

One of NEKTAR‘s most enduring classics, 1972’s "A Tab In The Ocean" was the album that set a template for the likes of "Remember The Future" in terms of epic scope, yet its importance is best measured in shorter pieces: “Desolation Valley” which became a staple of the British band’s concert repertoire, and “King of Twilight” which IRON MAIDEN covered on one of their singles. It saw quite a few reissues over the years, but a box set the record’s turning into on November 28th might become a definitive package.

Following similar expansions of the aforementioned 1973 platter, the band’s debut "Journey To The Centre Of The Eye" from 1971 and their "Recycled" LP from 1975, the forthcoming four-CD-and-Blu-ray offering features an original mix of the album and a fresh one, as well as an American mix from 1976, alongside surround option and a 1973 live show, the only previously unreleased recording here. A completist’s delight and a testament to the talents of the late Roye Albrighton, Ron Howden and Allan Freeman and the last man standing, Derek Moore, who’s still leading the ensemble.
