New York’s Magnetic Eye Records has quite interesting approach when it comes to covers: running the “Redux” series, the label’s A&R minds ask younger performers – younger than musicians whose pieces they interpret – to contribute a cut to a platter that’s a various-artists version of a much-loved album and then get additional roster to go about a best-of comp of the collective behind that original album. There have been such pairs of records honoring “The Wall” and “Electric Ladyland” to mention but two – and now it’s JETHRO TULL’s turn to be celebrated.
