Duncan Mackay And With Mauritz Lotz Issue Joint Album

March 13, 2026

In the last few years, not a lot has been heard from Duncan Mackay – a keyboard player whose résumé includes such platters as “The Best Years Of Our Lives” by COCKNEY REBEL, “I Robot” by ALAN PARSONS PROJECT, “Nude” by CAMEL, and Kate Bush’s “The Kick Inside” alongside a string of remarkable solo works – but that doesn’t mean the veteran hasn’t been busy lately. Apart from contributing to albums from THE GATEKEEPERS, he collaborated with renowned South African guitarist Mauritz Lotz – and now the results of their joint creativity are out.

Marty Wilde Rocks Further Into His Nineties

March 11, 2026

Being a senior citizen can’t stop the venerable Marty Wilde from doing what he does best: singing and recording. Those who thought the veteran’s 2020’s album “Running Together” could become his last – and hoped it would not – were pleased to listen to the “Two Eyes Streaming” single which the artist issued in 2024 to mark his 85th birthday, but they can rejoice now that April 17th was set as a release date for the Englishman’s fresh longplay.

March 10, 2026

1975 saw EAGLES on the verge of world domination which “Hotel California” would bring about a year later, but when the band released “One Of These Nights” that features such smashes as “Take It to the Limit” and the album’s title track, they already hit the mark of perfection – and now this perfection is to be given a fresh sheen. March 9, 2026

And now the Ulm ensemble seem to go for another, post-gap hattrick, as April 17th will see the release of the Germans’ latest endeavor which picks up where 2023’s "Zoup" left off.

Scott Weiland’s Live Album Slated For Release

March 7, 2026

For all the high profile of his work with STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and VELVET REVOLVER, the late Scott Weiland‘s solo oeuvre – numbering a mere three studio albums; four, if we count a comp of covers the singer laid down here and there; five, if his platter with THE WILDABOUTS is added – remains criminally underrated, which is why the emergence of his first-ever on-stage document should be more than welcome. Titled simply “Live” and appearing on the shelves on April 18th as part of Record Store Day, it’s going to be out, initially, only om vinyl, but as usual with things like this, a CD variant will be forthcoming as well – hopefully, with more than nine cuts that form the longplay.
