STRAWBS’ BBC Archives Get Boxed Up

January 30, 2026

They may have established a special connection with radio later in the day, when Dave Cousins temporarily left music to rule the waves in a different way, but STRAWBS spend a lot of time playing for various Beeb programmes back in the late ’60s and throughout the next decade. Some of those recordings would see the light further down the line on two volumes of the “At The BBC” comp in 2010, others, those with visuals, ended up on YouTube, but there’s never been a comprehensive release that included everything – until now… although the five-CD and Blu-ray box set “A Glimpse Of Heaven” coming out on April 24th is not complete.

Suzi Quatro Duets With Alice Cooper On New Album

January 29, 2026

Unstoppable and tireless: these words perfectly describe Suzi Quatro whose work ethic is impeccable, with the lady’s latest string of records – two recent being 2021’s “The Devil In Me” and collaboration with KT Tunstall, "Face To Face" from 2023 – being nothing short of brilliantly infectious. Pat Metheny Launches New Album On His Own New Label

January 25, 2026

It’s a complex but rewarding adventure: to be following Pat Metheny‘s path from record to record, through the platters which are bountiful. One of the guitarist’s latest releases was “Side-Eye NYC (V1.IV)” – issued in 2021 as a document of his 2019 outings – and now Pat brings the same concept to the studio. To be out on February 27th, “Side-Eye III+” – where Metheny is accompanied by keyboard player Chris Fishman and drummer Joe Dyson – features eight original compositions, including “Urban And Western” that reflects the veteran’s sense of humor.
