PINK FAIRIES Run For Cover Album

November 11, 2025

For all their proto-punk and psychedelic originality and underground leanings, PINK FAIRIES have always been partial to interpreting other people’s material. A couple of borrowed pieces augmented the British band’s second longplay, “What A Bunch Of Sweeties” from 1972, and comprising more than a half of the “Live at the Roundhouse 1975” album, but an entire platter consisting of covers seemed an unlike endeavor for the veterans… Until now.

Kate Rusby Celebrates Two Decades Of Yuletide Music

November 9, 2025

Weird enough – or, perhaps, fortunately so – this year hasn’t yet seen the usual deluge of Christmas albums, and of those which were announced only Chris Rea’s seasonal comp is of any interest – or so it seemed until Kate Rusby announced the forthcoming issue of the “20 Christmas Is Merry” platter. Its title doesn’t reference that of her 2012 opus “20”; neither it’s a hint of how many tracks are in there. JETHRO TULL Digitally Put Out 1985 Concert

November 7, 2025

It’s been more than two years since JETHRO TULL released an expanded version of “The Broadsword And The Beast” before letting their reissue programme stumble chronologically, with unexpected emergence of "Bursting Out" box set followed by the “Christmas Album” and "Living In The Past" repackages. THE POWER STATION Eponymous Debut Turns “DLX”

November 7, 2025

While all the supergroups are inherently apt to implode, THE POWER STATION seemed poised to do so from the start, as singer Robert Palmer – who formed this collective with two of DURAN DURAN’s Taylors, John and Andy, and CHIC’s Tony Thompson – hadn’t been much of a team player since his VINEGAR JOE days, and still the British-American quartet managed to issue and album which is considered a classic now. Out in 1985, their self-titled platter reached No. 6 in “Billboard” charts and its three singles, including a cover of “Get It On (Bang A Gong)” by T. REX, found global success too, securing the foursome, already with Michael Des Barres at the fore, a spot at Live Aid. It’s only logical, then, that the record will be re-released four decades later as a box set.
